Our wedding and reception will be at the Usher's House in Moorhead.
The back part of the building is completely windows and looks gorgeous in the winter. It should be perfect for an wedding at dusk.
The front part of the building (above) is where we will hold the dance after moving the tables off the floor.
The event coordinator has been great at helping me visualize and figure out ways to make the space work really well for what we are doing.
The only problem for the time being is that the building is right along the Red River and floods most years. But rest assured, it's stood through many floods, and if it made it through last year then this year shouldn't be too hard.

Bought my dress
My mom came to town today and went to the Bridal Shop with me to see the finalists Cristen and I had selected. I got the one that I loved. I'm still kind of in shock over spending so much on something you wear once. But, I guess, you only get married once, too.
Next on the list is finalizing our wedding party. Info and bios to come!

Color inspiration
After I posted the colors the other day, I kind of struggled with whether or not I really liked them. I've tweaked them endless times, making the coral a little less pink and a tad more orange. The turquoise has gotten darker, lighter, greener and bluer. So I went back to the things that inspired me to pick those colors in the first place: Vintage appliances. Why? I don't know, they're just pretty.
So (for now) I'm sticking with the colors at the top.

The ring
Whoa, whoa. Sorry, I should have probably done this first. Let's back up the wedding planning for a second to show the ring.
